A recent Donahue study suggests Plymouth has become a bedroom community for Boston. Consider these facts: 8,000 people live and work in Plymouth; 23,000 residents commute out of Plymouth for work and 17,000 commute into Plymouth from other communities. The Plymouth Foundation is determined to nurture innovation and to grow entrepreneurial opportunities and startups among our residents.
By their nature, entrepreneurs create innovative solutions to problems. The more conducive the environment is to startups, the more likely they’ll be successful. Two of The Plymouth Foundation’s Areas of Focus directly support entrepreneurial activity in Plymouth: Both Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Small Business Development focus directly on resources and infrastructure entrepreneurs need to foster and grow their business ideas. The Foundation also plays a critical role in helping entrepreneurs navigate the start-up process, creating a smooth runway for launching new ventures.
